A fun presentation for language arts and science teachers—and, of course, students.

Grades: 4-8Being Brave: Super Powers Not Required - Imagine a child standing on the end of a diving board. She's nervous about jumping? Friends are chanting, "Jump, jump, jump." Testimonials
“Stacy’s visit to our school- Abington Friends School - was a dream come true for our students. Our Lower School students had been reading and listening to The Dino File A Mysterious Egg and our younger students had been intrigued by both her picture books and listening to The Dino Files read aloud. Our students listened with big smiles as she read excerpts from her books and told her family’s story of their own trip to look for dinosaur fossils in Montana and how this trip inspired her writing. They loved hearing how and why she wrote her various picture books. Our students loved her books so much that they read or listened to the entire trilogy of The Dino Files and read her picture books again and again.”
“Thank you so much for Skyping with us today! The students loved it! It was great fun to get to know you and your books!”
“Our students LOVED Stacy’s presentation. She really gets them involved in the publishing a book process.
”
“Stacy is extremely entertaining, and interesting. I especially enjoyed the game show she put on! I also really love how she engaged the students when she spoke to them. ”
“Entertaining and educational! Our students loved the interactive game and are still singing the dinosaur stomp song.”
“We so enjoyed having Stacy last school year that we were going to see if she was available again this year.”
“The K-2 students at Anderson Creek Primary loved having Stacy visit for our school-wide reading celebration! Her presentation shared personal family adventures and the stories behind her books. She encouraged the students to participate and kept our young readers engaged. Students are seeking out her books to check out from the media center and talking about the experience. A second grade student sums it up best, “You have amazing and cool stories. Can you please come back?””
