  • I WILL BUY YOU A NEW LIFE by Everclear — This list will have a lot of songs about money. Here’s a 90’s song to kick off our list.

  • SUGAR by Maroon 5 — A scene in the second half of the book is influenced by this fun music video.

  • I’M A BELIEVER from Shrek (and Smash Mouth) — Shrek the Musical is mentioned in the book. I haven’t seen the musical yet, but I know the movie well. This song is in both.

  • YOU NEED TO CALM DOWN by Taylor Swift — As I mentioned on my MLG Playlist, I’m a Swiftie so I will always include a TS song on my lists. Love is love is love is love is love is love.

  • BILLS by Lunch Money Lewis — Another money song and a catchy one at that.
